The CSS formatting is just used here to make the fonts bold and change
the colors for the patron and librarian's names. I will go behind the
librarians to clean up and format any transcripts.
As of this moment the view nominations page is not password protected,
although it can easily be made so.

Now I am confused. I don't know what CSS formatting is.
Since the link was added to the page and we will have the ability to cut
and paste, I'm afraid some on the QA workgroup might not be as careful
as you are. JMO. Does that mean you are still going to go in behind us
and check the transcript?
If you are saying that it really isn't necessary because the only people
looking have to sign in through the librarian's Toolbox and identity is
not an issue, than I can live with that too.

I use a text editor to find the patron's name and replace it with the
generic "patron", search for ampersands to remove e-mail addresses, and
do a little CSS formatting.
If we put the View Nominations page behind the password-protection of
the Toolbox, then I think it wouldn't be necessary to remove patron
names and email addresses that are displayed in the nomination
transcripts, since it's not a public forum. Then I can just remove the
personal info for the winners that are posted on the info site.

If we add the transcript ourselves, does that require us to change the
patron's name on each and every line? Is that what Doug was doing? WOW!
I noticed that in the "public" nominations that they all said "Patron"
instead of the names.
This may make me rethink adding the transcript, however it is really
useful to me to see it right away instead of having to go into each
record, AND I think if other librarians happen to read nominated
transcripts they might get an idea of the things we are looking at
besides just the winners. JMHO

optional field for the text of the transcript. This is a memo field so
the size is unlimited.
With the transcript field, you might want to truncate database URLs (for
example, just put http://infotrac.galegroup.com...
<http://infotrac.galegroup.com/k12/infomark/0/1/1/purl=rc6_K12S?sw_aep=b
roward29> for Gale) otherwise, the URLs make it difficult to read.
Also, please remember to change the Patron's name and remove any
personally identifying information. Doug will continue to populate
the field for those with this field left blank.
After we get the academic desk up and going, Doug is going to get back
to having the nomination form auto-populate. He feels pretty
confident, this will happen shortly.

Hi Cindy,
I believe that Diana said that Doug Furiato has to copy and paste the
transcripts himself and that they do not automatically populate. I'm not
sure if the field for the url will take the entire transcript. Maybe
that would be the best way to go. Just let us copy and paste the entire
transcript in a field. I would also like the date and time in there.
Thanks for the refresher on finding out who's behind the screen name
for the librarians on Chat. I've always assumed that Diana would know
who are behind the virtual Reference Provider screen names. I've spent
quite a bit of time tracking down the librarians.

I have a question... I have a few nominations that I would like to make
that were added to the list by Jennifer as "Virtual Reference
Providers." They have no last names listed and no libraries attached.
There is not a pull down menu for the VRP people under "Select Library."
Hmmm... do we need to add another category there? Do I just try and
leave that blank?
Also, I notice every month that some nominations actually show the
transcripts while others just the URL link. I don't know how to show
the transcript when I make my nomination. Is there a trick to that?
