Subject: [Askalibrarianqa] New Schedule of Readings

Hi Everyone,

  Joyce and I thought we would go ahead and start our schedule of
readings for Sep. Diana will get back to me soon about the new members.
After they are oriented to the process, I will assign our new members
readings.

  I am going to try our Doug's method for getting the transcripts
directly in the database.

  These are the steps that Joyce has outlined for us.

*	One of the nice features of the VRLPlus 3.2.02a version which
was just installed on Preview is that the transcript pages now allow you
to export each transcript as HTML, Word, or Excel. This morning I
clicked on the Export to HTML link on a Preview transcript - a new
window opens with the transcript and other relevant data about the
session. I then

	*	went to "View Source" on the browser
	*	this brings up the source code of the transcipt
	*	control-A to select all
	*	control-C to copy
	*	then pasted this in the transcript field on the
nomination form in a test nomination
	*	view results at
http://preview.askalibrarian.org/dbtest/august2007.asp - you see the
transcript and other info about the session

Let me know what kind of results you have if you try the process out.

Pat
