[Askalibrarianqa] Question

Hi everyone. The AaL interns (or Virtual Reference Providers) that work
on nights and weekends are eligible for awards. They get lots of
practice so they seem to show up a lot nomination-wise.

Makes sense to me, too. One more question: I assume that Ask-A-Librarian
Staff are eligible for awards, is this correct? I only ask because many
of the Sunday sessions that I am reviewing were done by AAL staff.

did not know the library, The addition of Unknown will be a big help!

Hi,

I think I have made this overly confusing. Sorry about that - too much
going on a once this week.

The way this the nominations work:

1- You fill out the form with the incident number

2- Doug gets an auto notification of a new entry. He then goes to the
software and grabs the actual transcript and cleans up the personal data
within the session. (This is the same method we used with Docutek)

3- He adds the full transcript to the database for exemplary reference
awards.

I will go through the IS categories and add the sessions self-nominated
by the librarians. (Please check me on what award I add them too).

If you can not find the library the librarian belongs too, select
unknown (I think Doug added this) or contact Traci or me and we can look
it up in our spreadsheet.

By the nominating deadline, everything should be full text and ready to
go.

Does this make sense?

Let me know-

Diana

Subject: [Askalibrarianqa] Question

Hi,

I submitted my nominations and checked to see if you could read the
pages, but you can't. I was able to read other nominations. I just put
the incident number in the form, not a url or anything. It looks like
html pages are created for the transcripts. Am I supposed to send in
the actual transcript text? Or do the magical IT folk take care of it?

Thanks,

Pammy
