[Marcia A. Stepanek]

Biography:

 

Marcia Stepanek works for the Citrus County Library System and is the
reference librarian at the Homosassa Public Library. She earned her
Bachelor of Business in Information Science from Western Illinois
University and received her Masters Degree in Library and Information
Science from the University of South Florida in Tampa. Marcia is a
member of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi and Beta Phi Mu, the
Library and Information Studies Honor Society. Marcia is also a graduate
of the Sunshine State Library Leadership Institute Year 4. Librarianship
is Marcia's second career. Over the years she has worked as a computer
programmer, a systems analyst, and a web technology manager. She enjoys
dabbling in web design, learning Web 2.0 tools and applications,
researching family genealogy, computer gaming, and reading her favorite
genres, young adult and children's literature. Marcia and her husband
are active members in several Veterans' organizations within their
community.
