Head of Reference - Law Firm 

Our client, a top ranked Global law firm with over 1000 attorneys
firm-wide is looking for a Manager to lead its coast to coast National
Virtual Research Team of at least ten professional researchers.  The
successful candidate can reside in one of the  following U.S. cities:
Washington DC, Tysons Corner, Phoenix, Miami, Orlando or Chicago.  This
position will report to the National Director of Research.

Core responsibilities of this position include: managing and overseeing
the work product of the National Research team, assisting with errors
and stumped researchers, assigning projects, developing training and
performance goals, setting policies and procedures for the team, leading
all job searches for new researchers, writing performance evaluation and
working with other department managers on special projects.  The overall
goal of this position is to train, motivate and counsel this team,
leading it to superior customer service and work product outcomes for
the firm. 

The successful candidate will possess a Masters in Library Science, 5
years of law firm library experience, and 2 years of supervisory
experience.   All candidates must have substantial working knowledge and
comfort with legal resources, online databases, the internet and law
firm technologies.   Excellent written and oral communication skills, a
strong service orientation, the ability to work independently under time
pressures in a fast paced environment, set priorities, possess a high
level of attention to detail, and handle multiple tasks under pressure
are a must.
