[CFALL] CFALL Annual Meeting Notice - June 24

You are invited to the CFALL Annual Meeting on June 24.  Expect to receive
an announcement in the mail which includes member renewal forms, a new CFALL
brochure, proposed amendments to the bylaws, and the election ballot.  If
you do not receive the mailer by the end of next week, please email me with
your postal address.  In the meantime, you can link to the documents via the

The RSVP deadline is June 18. If you cannot attend, please return your
membership renewal and election ballots via mail no later than June 18.

CFALL ANNUAL MEETING

Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at 12:00 p.m.

Bank of American Conference Center

101 E. Kennedy Blvd, Suite 890 in downtown Tampa, Florida

Please join us for our annual CFALL meeting where our guest speaker will be
attorney J. Michael Hayes, an Emory University graduate who previously
served as Chief Assistant State Attorney for the Thirteenth Judicial
Circuit. He currently practices commercial litigation with Hill Ward
Henderson, where he is a mentor to all new associates and an avid supporter
of the library. Mr. Hayes will speak on the topic of legal research.

The luncheon will include meat lasagna or vegetarian pasta with salad,
dessert and drinks catered by NoHo Bistro, at a cost of $20.00 per person.

response is an obligation share in the cost of the luncheon even if you are
unable to attend.

Directions: From I-275 take the Downtown West exit for Tampa/Ashley Street.
Cut left over to Tampa Street, following the Tampa Convention Center signs.
Go through the lights at Kennedy and Jackson, passing the BOA building on
your right. As you pass the Hyatt Regency on your left, turn right into the
side street halfway down the block. Turn into the parking garage entrance on
the right (parking to your left is for another building).

Parking: In the BOA Garage, proceed to Level 3 and take a ticket at either
gate. Park on Level 6 or above in an unreserved space. Take the garage
elevator to Level 3 (Skybridge Level), then walk to your left over the
Skybridge into the main lobby of the building. Proceed to last set of
elevators to go to the 8th floor. Parking is $3.00 per half hour. 

Election Ballots
The ballot for the election of officers for 2008-2009 is enclosed. Submit
your marked ballot to the nominating committee at the annual meeting, or
mail it to the address below no later than June 18.  (

Bylaws Amendments
The Bylaws Committee has prepared the attached proposed amendments to the
Bylaws. A ballot will be presented at the annual meeting for discussion and
a vote. You must be present in order to vote on the amendments. If you have
questions about the amendments, please contact the committee chair, Cathy
Rentschler, via email at crentsch at law.stetson.edu.   (
