[delivery-announce] Manatee Community College Temporary Closure

	 Hello, all! 

	 

	I need to advise you all that the Venice campus of Manatee
Community College is undergoing some major, major renovations and the
Library chair there asked me what I wanted to do about ILL requests from
their campus. Together we decided that it was easiest to "just say no"
to any requests for items from them, inasmuch as it is only until 8/11,
so . . . . 

	 

	Therefore I may on occasion be replying NO to some requests for
this reason -- i.e., that item is temporarily unavailable at our Venice
campus. I hope this won't inconvenience you all too much. Thankfully, we
are just about between semesters, so there's a slight decrease in ILL
activity. However, if you really need an item and cannot get it
elsewhere, please please please feel free to call me. We CAN get at
their books down there; it's just a little more difficult; our
inter-campus courier won't be stopping there on a regular basis, BUT we
will be more than happy to find a way to get any items anyone really
needs somehow. Really - I mean it!

	 

	Thanks, all - here's to a wonderful, active, high enrollment,
learning resourceful, PROFITABLE fall semester. I know I am challenged
to meet our patrons needs more than ever when circumstances may seem to
be prohibitive. Let's rock!

	Hi, Vikki! 

	I need to send out an email to let everyone know that our Venice
campus will be closed from the 30th of July unti August 10th, and that I
will not therefore be able to fill requests if they happen to be at that
campus. It's not a huge deal; they're a smaller lib, and it's only a
week and a half, but still . . . I'd like to let people know what's
going on. Do you have a master mailing list I could use? Or could you
put this word out for me? I could just send it to LINCC list, but I had
wanted to reach everyone else as well.
