[delivery-announce] Reminder: Beginning on Monday - No more barcodes

Hello, 

As many of you recall, last week we announced we would stop bag-level
scanning on July 20th. 

Beginning on Monday, July 20, 2009, we will discontinue bag-level
scanning, and the "Print on Demand" labels will no longer generate a
barcode. They will have a small six-digit code printed under the
address. This code is vital to us at TBLC when troubleshooting bags, so
please make sure your labels have these digits. 

Without barcodes, you can preprint and photocopy labels. However, we ask
you do not print more than a week ahead of time so your labels can
reflect the most up-to-date information available. If you would like to
import our data into your Interlibrary Loan system, please contact us
directly.   However, please do not print courtesy labels. 

 

To print labels, you will follow this procedure:

1- Go to www.tblc.org/delivery <http://www.tblc.org/delivery> .

2- Type in a library name or, for a list of all libraries, leave the
fields blank and click "Submit search." 

3- Select your library from the dropdown list. 

4- Select labels to print and the number for each library. 

5- Change printer to print in landscape.

6- Print. 

 

While we are no longer printing barcodes for bags, you will need to
continue to print and have an "Electronic Signature" available with your
statistical sheet in your Delivery area at all times.
