TBLC is offering an exciting new group purchase opportunity for its
members - downloadable audio books. On Monday, March 7, 2005 from 9:30 am
to 11:30 am TBLC will be hosting an live demonstration of downloadable audio
books and popular eBooks by OverDrive’s Digital Library Reserve.

Overdrive is offering a chance to win a Creative Muvo MP3 Player - $100

As recently featured in The New York Times and on NBC Nightly News,
OverDrive Audio Books are now being offered by dozens of public libraries
across the nation through their websites. Come meet Steve Potash, CEO of
OverDrive and learn about how thousands of popular audio books titles in
digital format can be downloaded by your patrons from their homes, schools,
or offices. Steve will hold a drawing during the meeting and one of our
lucky members will win a Creative Muvo MP3 player suitable for music and
download audio books.

With OverDrive’s Digital Library Reserve system, libraries can offer a
variety of programs to lend digital audio titles. OverDrive audio books
support both dial-up and broadband users. The service permits downloadable
audio books to be burned to standard CD for playing in the car or for
immediate use with many popular MP3 audio players. OverDrive Audio Books
also has accessibility features for the visually impaired and is currently
available from websites of talking book libraries serving the blind.

Over 30 leading audio book publishers are now offering their titles as part
of OverDrive’s Digital Library Reserve service. They include best-selling
unabridged fiction, children’s titles, and non-fiction from Brilliance
Audio, Blackstone Audiobooks, Books in Motion, Penton Overseas, McGraw-Hill
Audio, and dozens more.

Plan to attend on Monday, March 7, 2005 and learn how your library, as part
of the Tampa Bay Library Consortium, can provide this excellent online
service to your patrons. For more information and to view libraries
