Short version
SirsiDynix confirmed in today's conference call that the new build has
tested out well and will be installed on the URSA server in Provo this
weekend.
We'll test it over the weekend and tell them whether we want to keep it
or make them try again.

Longer version
Once upon a time....
Actually, the longer version isn't that much longer. Peter will load
the build at 6 p.m. our time on Friday (August 3). Matt and I will
begin testing Friday evening and try to "break it". If we succeed, they
have to try again. If we fail, the build stays, and most of you will
see it load Monday morning (August 6) when you open the SirsiDynix
client. Oldsmar, Largo, and Lee County will need IT intervention to
load it. You all know that by now, so that shouldn't be an issue. Gail
says there will be no Java issues this time.

If any of you are doing ILL work on Saturday, you will be part of the
test. Please report any strange things you encounter.
("Hey, Al and Matt! I encountered a strange thing! Everything worked
correctly. What is this new software, and what have you done with
iBorrow?")

Here are the fixes. Short list.
1. Aging will work. It will work on new requests as they come in, and
the fix will apply itself to existing requests, even if they are already
'over aged'. (Some existing requests may be so messed up that they will
not age forward. We'll fix those manually.)
2. The "Process By" date will be updated, if an request cycles through
the system, lands in Mediated Borrowing, and is then sent back into the
request stream. (Catch and release?) Our current build keeps the
original Process by date, and this conflicts with our current practice
of declining overage requests
3. If you Change Lender and then Fill the request, you should no longer
get an error.
