[iBorrow] Free-form Form

IBorrow Users,

Quickly now-and without peeking-tell me what it says under the Search
Results bar on the iBorrow patron portal.
Raise your hand, if you think you know the answer.
Yeah, that's about what I expected.

Don't feel bad. I have spent way more hours than I like to think about
with the Portals, and I have only recently clicked on the "Place a Loan
Request" link you find there.
The short version is that clicking on it opens up a very "old school
ILL" form that the requestor can use to request a title.
Whatever he puts there will go to your Mediate Loan work space. Because
it is a "free-form form", he can put in any title he wants. And any
publisher and publication date and so on. And iBorrow will treat it as
though he were telling the truth. So, you could get a request for
Volume 3 of "The Complete Prophecies of Paris Hilton" from Full Court
Press in downtown Uzbekistan.

We have a couple of choices here. Well, three, actually. And I'd like
your help with the decision.
Option One: Leave it just as it stands
Option Two: Add some "context" to it, so that users know when to use it
and what it's good for. And not good for.
Option three: Get rid of it.

So, some time today or tomorrow, please visit an iBorrow Portal near
you, click on that link, log in, and look the form over. If you like
Option Two, tell me what you'd add, if you were designing the form. If
you like Option One or Three, tell me that. I'll take a look at what
comes in and pass a recommendation on to SirsiDynix.

Thanks.
