A one-day workshop is being offered which will provide you with the know-how
to develop assessment plans based upon national standards and your
institution's mission statement.  Here's your chance to attend an affordable
workshop on using the 2000 edition of the Standards for College Libraries
and the 2003 draft edition of the Standards for Libraries in Higher
Education in the assessment process.

Here are the basics:

Workshop Title: Academic Library Assessment:  Practical Approaches for
Creating a Continuous Assessment Environment.

Speakers:   Bill Nelson and Bob Fernekes, nationally noted presenters on
this topic.

Materials included in registration: Nelson and Fernekes' Standards and
Assessment for Academic Libraries:  A Workbook (ACRL, 2002).

Workshop Sponsors: Southeastern Library Association (SELA) and Florida
Chapter Association of College and Research Libraries (FACRL)

Cost: $50 for SELA and FACRL members; $60 for non-members.

Pre-registration: REQUIRED

Date: Friday, June 25, 2004, 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Arrive early to pick-up
workshop material.
