Dear TBLC Listers,
I really enjoyed meeting some of you and the discussions on information
literacy last Friday. Part of the "Retro" article is online (see:
http://www.emich.edu/public/loex/Proceedings03/PencekAriewBurge.doc)
though the appendices and documents that go with the article don't seem
to be available online anymore. The full article with appendices
("Looking Back: Doing End-of-Term Assessments" can be found in the
publication of the 2003 LOEX Proceedings of the 31st National LOEX
Conference, Reflective Teaching: A Bridge to Learning available from
Pierian Press <http://www.pierianpress.com> pp, 151-155. I'd be glad to
answer any questions and follow up on retros with anyone who is
interested in trying them out. My former colleague, Bruce Pencek, Social
Sciences Librarian at Virginia Tech is still using retros as an
important component in doing assessments for his classes in political
science and history.
Sincerely,
Susan Ariew
