[infolit] A Newbie Introduction

Hi!

 

I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Lisa Lapointe and I am the new
Instructional Services Librarian at Florida Southern College in
Lakeland. Mary Flekke is still here, I'm just a new addition. I
graduated in May from LSU, where I did a practicum at LSU's Middleton
Library in instruction. I am excited about information literacy
instruction and am very excited to be here. My current interests are:

 

*	Is the "Ask a Librarian" service for us? Will it be a burden to
keep up? Are we assigned specific time slots, or just a certain number
of hours a week? Will our students even use it? (I guess most of these
are questions for the askalib listserv)
*	Has anyone used clickers in info lit instruction? We have an
opportunity to attain some, but I'm curious to see if anyone has any
experience with them.
*	Does anyone have any Camtasia tutorials they would like to show
off? 

 

Ok, that's more than enough for my introductory post. I look forward to
meeting all of you!
