Library Services Coordinator

The Wichita Public Library has an opening for a self-motivated,
energetic and resourceful librarian to serve as Coordinator of
Customer Service.

The position oversees human resources functions throughout the library
system, supervises six branches, circulation and interlibrary loan.
Serves as liaison to the City of Wichita for ADA, EEO and City
Training functions.  Participates on Horizon migration team with
emphasis on circulation functions.  Responsibilities include planning,
coordinating and analyzing service delivery with particular emphasis
on enhancing the quality of customer service.  Serves as a
Librarian-in-Charge and as a member of the Library Management Team.
Participation in system projects and teams is expected. The position
reports to the Director of Libraries.

Requires MLS from an ALA accredited institution plus five years
professional experience including three years experience in library
administration or supervision of professional library staff or any
equivalent combination of experience and training.  Also requires a
comprehensive knowledge of Dynix and/or Horizon, excellent
communication and interpersonal skills, experience in strategic
planning, a strong customer service orientation and skill in team
leadership. Residency within thirty minutes legal driving time of the
corporate limits of the City of Wichita will be required of the
successful applicant.

Salary range: $50,386 - $74,417. Offers of employment will be
contingent upon passing a pre-employment drug screening and
satisfactory evaluation of a police records check.  Applications must
