[ipac] Firefox and HIP

To my knowledge, Dynix never certified FireFox as a browser for HIP 3.x
because of its timing--it appeared when Dynix was in final testing of
the 3.x version. Or that's what I recall. Firefox 1.5.06 + has been
preliminarily certified at this time for the new Information Portal 8.0.
Here's what we encountered in 3.06A from FireFix users (our requests
are all recalls and our button is labeled as such):
You complete one recall successfully. Then you make a second recall--the
final confirmation window displays the title from the first recall and
the recall does not complete. If you go back and perform the recall
again, it will complete successfully. Other problems with Firefox do not
have any known resolution; switching to another browser is the only
workaround.
We also found the following:
When I attempt to use the "open a new window" feature (of Internet
Explorer or Firefox) when clicking on a link on a keyword search results
display, it doesn't work. All I can do is click on the link and stay in
the same window. This is not a problem with links on the browse search
results or full record displays.
