[ipac] HIP Display Questionsd

Wonder if anyone else has experienced these and if so, how did you solve
them?

 

We have 40+ sites using Horizon/HIP.  Most are working with no more than the
usual blips.  But 2 sites have us totally puzzled.

 

1.	One site has 3 of their 10+ computers that do not display the
subject KW index in the Basic search.  The other searches, all keyword, some
listed before Subject, some after, show and work fine.  This site has also
"noticed today that the little book icon showing that we have certain items
is not showing up.  We did the same search in the same way on two computers
side by side and the one with the subject search option came up with items
we own, while the computer beside it came up with a list but not with
anything indicating we have that particular item." 

 

We have this puzzle in to SD support but have not heard back yet.

 

2.	A different site can get to the detail display with Availability and
Title Info tabs displaying from browse searches but the tabs (neither one)
display for keyword searches. 

 

SD support says this is due to the length of the java string used to display
the tabs-the one for browse searches is significantly shorter than the one
for keywords.  The site has tried reloading IE, java, and anything else they
could think of to no avail.

 

We are on Horizon 7.4 and HIP 4.1.  Any suggestions appreciated.
