[ipac] One Database and multiple HIP installations

Hi Phil

 

I'm very curious about how you did this (we're using Horizon 7.4 and HIP
4.1.1)?

 

Do you have multiple HIP entries in the Horizon Matham parameters for
the Horizon Application Server URL?

 

We are setup to have different HIP profiles for public and staff but for
testing and training have difference HIPs pointing to difference
databases.

Yes, we have 4 HIPs pointing to our production Horizon 7.3 database (one
for the public, one for staff, one for development, and one that just
runs the indexing & searching services).

Does anyone know if it is possible to point several different HIPs to
the same database, without using Z39.50?

 

If so, is anyone doing this?
