[ipac] Unacceptable HIP behavior

And did SD say how you would do a limit of a Location + Biography? I would
love to do a Location + Language but I thought in group_limit and word_index
filters you can only combine like data, i.e. a group limit can be a combo of
say 1+ itypes or 1+ locations, etc., but a group limit can't combine an
itype and a location, etc. Am I wrong?

The response from SD was that HIP cannot "nest" limits (i.e. apply one
and then another and keep both). Support indicated that my options are
to create more combined limits, like "Key West Biographies", or only use
Power Search to combine limits. (Fine for me, but how do I explain the
latter to users?)

Ultimately, I'm trying to set up "Quick Searches" to produce alpha lists
of items by format, like DVD or audiobook on CD. (Exasperated user: "I
just want to see a list of your DVDs! Why is that so HARD?") For now,
staff knows to instruct users to place an asterisk in General KW and
apply format and location limits from PowerSearch page. Apparently, our
limits are about to grow more sophisticated!

Yep, if it isn't part of the initial search it drops the school/location
limit and searches with new limits on the whole catalog.

I was looking forward to Horizon 8.x which it was fixed...

Great question. Our HIP is set to search just our elementary
collection - but when we limit it, it searches the entire district
collection. Please post this answer! (for an answer, our users are
used to hearing the explanation "We have no clue")
