It's also on the SD website.

There was some talk of this being updated, but this seems to be the
latest version available. I find it a bit confusing in places. The
terminology is not always clear. I have no idea what some of it means
and that's on functionality that we currently have as defined in the
report for modules I know (or thought I knew) rather well. Functionality
in blue type is supposed to be existing in 7.3 and the stuff in black is
supposed to be in 8.x, but if you look at Cataloging functionality, it
says we currently have (blue) but won't be available until 8.2 is a
non-filing indicator error report and fix utility which I've asked and
asked about and was told to run a SQL script and do manual fixes. Also,
forthcoming in 8.2 (black) is "Cataloging -Tag Actions - Copy tag
functionality". I can currently copy tags in a marc record, so if this
refers to tag copying in the import process (which I don't do now), I
find their wording a bit confusing and I really can't see having to wait
until 8.2 for the ability to copy tags in a marc record.

Nowhere do I see things like losing your existing Acq data as several
people (Mary Ellen being the last, I believe) have mentioned and our SAM
during CODI conference.

At the rate is seems like it's going to take for us to be able to
migrate to 8.whatever, we could probably migrate to another vendor
faster even with having to go through the whole RFP, bid and budgetary
processes. Color me frustrated.

Subject: [ipac] 8.0 Functionality Matrix

I've gotten a lot of requests for the Horizon 8.0 functionality
spreadsheet.
In most cases the attachment has gone through to each requester. However
it
is a large file and is being stopped by some mail filters. So, I've put
the
thing on our web server so anyone can see it any time. Please follow the
below link and when you click to retrieve the spreadsheet be patient
because
it takes a little while to load. Be sure to read the introduction
section.

Have fun.

It's a thankless job, but I've got a lot of Karma to
burn
off!
