[ipac] HIP and web stats

We've long been unhappy with the stats generated by the HIP admin tool, especially as a means of comparing traffic to our website proper.  Is anybody on the list using a web stat analysis tool to track pageviews & sessions to HIP?  We've been experimenting with adding the Google Analytics tracking javascript to the generalfooter stylesheet with some success, but are wondering if others are doing similar things.  If so, are you using Analytics or one of the others (WebTrends, DeepMetrix)?  What has been your experience with this?  Any comments would be very much appreciated...
