[ipac] HIP 3.06A Questions

Thanks. We tried some of this. We are running a Linux box.

It seemed to be the most problem when I added several new indexes at once.
Maybe if I add a few at a time!

I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a limit to the number of Search
Fields (Indexes) and Filter Information entries (limits) in the word_index
for Horizon 7.3.2 and HIP 3.06A.

After adding several Search Fields (we have 25 total) we are having
difficulty re-indexing HIP.

What OS (and version) are you running on? We had some problems over the
summer which we attributed to to hitting some size or count threshold in the
OS (Solaris 2.8). We got some temporary relief by reducing the number of
indexes we made available, but actually solved the problem by moving our
indexing from an ancient Solaris 2.8 box to an up-to-date Linux box.
Indexing on a current Windows XP box also seemed successful. We did not try
Solaris 10.
