[ipac] HIP 3.08 with Java 1.4.2_18?

Hi,

Is anyone running HIP 3.08 with Java SDK 1.4.2_18?

We really would like to upgrade Java from version 1.4.2 (though this
continues to be the version recommended by SirsiDynix) so as to deal
with the vulnerabilities in earlier versions (see
http://sunsolve.sun.com/search/document.do?assetkey=1-66-238967-1)
which appear to have been exploited on our HIP server with deleterious
results!.

I'm presently waiting to hear from SD whether upgrading Java would
mean they'd no longer be able to offer support.
