[ipac] Updating Location changes

I think I now remember all of this.
In word_index in Horizon, you define a "filter" for HIP and you give it
a name ("Description"). For each filter, you have to define a Group
Limit which has its OWN description (so that you can, e.g., group
multiple locations under ONE limit).
Then, in HIP Admin>Setup>Predefined Limits, you create a Description,
select the limit type (called "Limit") and then match it up with the
Horizon Group Limit Description. This does make a frail amount of sense
("frail" being the operative word which of course is why it should have
been documented in detail YEARS ago). When ALL the Description names are
the same, you don't have any problems. For example, I have a Filter in
word_index called "D'Angelo Law" which uses a Group Limit called
"D'Angelo Law" which appears in HIP as "D'Angelo Law." If I changed the
Horizon Filter AND Group Limit to "Law" but did not change HIP, the
limit would still show up as "D'Angelo Law" because HIP is reading the
Predefined Limit list, NOT the Horizon tables. When you (finally) figure
this out, it's a "well, duh" moment--and HIP 3.x is FULL of "well, duh"
moments. Which is why it has to rank as one of my least favorite
software application of all time.
[Only to be outdone by HIP 2.x and HIP 4.x and I hope you were spared
THOSE horror stories.]

Thanks,
I definately saw the changes in the full-bib record, but it remained
unchanged in the limits and location field on the catalog, much like you
seem to have had. I'll look at the page you suggested, I can't tell you
how long I searched the table editor in Horizon for where this info is
stored, but it sounds like you do have to specifically change it in the
HIP. Could it be that you have to restart JBoss before the option of
adding the new location in Setup/Libraries/Pre-defined Limits is
available?
