[ipac] HIP 3.0x and IE AutoComplete

I see where the AutoComplete issue has popped up in the ipac archives before, in 2003 and 2005, but no one has identified if the problem can be fixed by editing a sertain xsl file. I've looked for the "AutoComplete = false" statement in the obvious xsl files, but I couldn't find it.
I can understand the intent if the thought was that all public PACs are running IE, but between sites that do not use IE and sites that can block or wipe out autocomplete settings with security software, there seems no point in leaving this setting embedded in HIP. In the meantime, patrons are frsutrated that all the other form sites they use support Auotocomplete, but HIP doesn't.

If you can figure out what in the HTML prevents IE from doing this, odds
are we can change it in the XSL to make IE autocomplete.

When the patrons are using Netscape or Firefox, the forms do implement AUTOCOMPLETE, but in Internet Explorer the forms do not AUTOCOMPLETE. This has been reported as bug # HIPO-318."

Has anyone gotten that to work in IE? [and yes...we realize that storing logins is not a good practice, but it is a feature that many patrons want to use on their own machines despite the risks.]
