I haven't used these personally -- just read the details today -- but they
look intriguing...and the price is right.

You say you've been assigned an essay or paper or will assign one? You're a
researcher, you say? We are about to point you to the most practical,
easiest-to-use aid that we can imagine. Bear with us, though. We're having
some trouble making this sound as good as it is because the program is so
focused, neat, and clean. In a time of bloated programming, this is a tidy
little package that packs a surprisingly valuable punch. The program is
Co-Citer; it saves any text that you select from Web pages … plus the
bibliographic data that you need to cite the source … plus any comments that
you want to make in relation to the saved text. Then, Co-Citer wraps it all
up in a set of records that you can organize as you please and recall at
will. And, it all takes only a mouse-click or three. The Co-Citer screen is
uncluttered; the process is clean. The results are every researcher's dream
come true, an automated way to organize your Web sources - and you barely
had to do a thing. We can't say enough good things about this little
program. Just download it, try it with your next essay. You'll never want to
do another paper without it again. Teachers, tell your students; we suspect
you'll see a difference in how well they cite their sources. Cogitum also
makes a similar product that saves Web images and records their source.
Images may be less critical to many essays, but together Co-Citer and
Co-Tracker make a tidy bibliographic suite. And, if mere efficiency isn't
enough to seal the deal, we'll also point out that both programs are
entirely free. Just click on the program's name in the heading of this item
to go to the download site.
