Wednesday, November 5, we will hold our public Open House from 3:00 to
6:00 p.m.
Along with the displays, we will have an area set aside for educational
materials. We are encouraging educators, community leaders and the general
public throughout the bay area to attend. It's going to be a great event.
We will be hosting a short ceremony at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 5th
recognizing 10 years of science in the community and support from local
science organizations. There will be time both before and after the
ceremony to visit the displays and talk with our scientists and staff.
As you know, community science education is important for our society. We
expect to have about 40 displays that range in topic from manatees, water
quality, hurricanes and coastal change, wetlands, mangroves, mapping and
other aspects of understanding our natural resources. We are proud to be
part of a community that is interested in our natural resources and has so
much science to share with the public and to inspire inquiring minds.

I am also providing a flyer. I encourage you to share this with your
staff, memberships
and mailing lists to help us spread the word.
We hope to see you here!
