Hello L. A. Muffley,
Wanted to wish you all the best with your After School Program.  Although librarians are a good network, I would also suggest that you query educators.  I assisted with an After School Program at USF through their Preschool for Creative Learning and the staff were people with early childhood education degrees and Montessori experience.  I would suggest that you contact the Florida Department of Education for regulations, sanitation guidelines and licensing requirements.  Hope you enjoy the project and your association with SIS.

Hello, SIS Community. My name is Laurie A. Muffley, MA, MLIS and I am a consulting librarian who has recently accepted a new project. I have been asked to create a new After School Program for a Tampa house of worship. This program will be offered to local families for free, since this church has a strong devotion to community service. I have, in the past, established a center for Adult Learners, but not for secondary level students, so I need all the advice I can get. For example, what local licenses are required, what academic computer programs are available for this level, are there any religious programs in the Christian/Protestant tradition, what forms should be created, what Grant sources are available,  etc.? Your help for this worthy project will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
