REFORMISTAS

In this season of holidays, gift exchanging and jolly good time with
family and friends, I was reminded to thank you once again for the
many kindnesses that you bestowed upon me last August during RNC2.  I
thanked you shortly after the event, but unfortunately my letter was
caught in the Reformanet "black out."  Perhaps it is just as well, for
when I sent the letter, I was still in shock.  All this for me?  I
kept asking myself.  Since then, I have come down to level ground, and
have accepted my awards with humility and gratitude.

Now I ask that you please accept the challenge of what has become the
"magic chain."  Let us jointly commit ourselves to empower children in
our communities with love, self-confidence and the love of reading.  I
have become the spokesperson for REFORMITA, a student club which can
be started in grade schools by teachers, librarians and parents.  Irma
