Director of Library Services   

Job Description  

MCC is a dynamic, comprehensive, multi-campus college with over 11,000
students. MCC serves Manatee and Sarasota counties, a culturally rich,
growing and diverse area bordering the Gulf of Mexico on Florida's
southwest coast. 

MCC is seeking an energetic Director of Library Services to provide
strategic leadership for the management, coordination and integration of
cutting edge library and academic services supported by state of the art
teaching and learning technologies. The director will also participate
in the expansion of the college in offering baccalaureate programs as
well as the development of creative solutions, such as joint-use library
facilities. The successful applicant will welcome the leadership
challenge of managing in one of Florida's fastest-growing colleges and
will thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.   

Minimum Qualifications  

Master's degree in Library Science or equivalent from an accredited
university with at least five year's experience working in a library.
Supervisory experience of at least three years.   

Preferred Qualifications  

Library experience with public libraries, Community Colleges and/or
other higher education institutions and joint-use libraries.
