Hi,

I'm sure this has been run into the ground, but let me add our
experience here at Southeastern.  Like Libby, we have had to retain our
shelf list for recon/reclassification purposes and we may need it for
some backup when we do our first inventory.  However, I have found that
I seldom if ever refer to it anymore except for reclassification. I use
the database for checking call numbers and records.  Most of the shelf
list cards I do use are those which were pulled because the book was
lost and we need to replace it.  Eventually it will be gone, but not
tomorrow!
