Hello All,
From Annette's perspective, it looks like NCIP is running at all the sites
but in fact, III is still mapped. In URSA 4, the functionality is exactly
the same for NCIP and mapped services, so the confusion is
understandable. We wish we could get NCIP working with them but at last
week's NCIP Implementers Group Meeting I once again asked Jason Boland,
their NCIP Product Manager, about their schedule for a Millenium NCIP
responder and he again said that it's not been scheduled. They've done
some work for their Michigan project, as Scott mentions, but that's with
INN Reach as the initiator and other ILS systems as the NCIP responders.
FYI, Ken Adams and I had a conference call with Ann Amman, Annette's
assistant, at North Bay this morning to show her the shared catalog
functionality. She had one fairly minor suggestion about the data
displayed when a request is filled and returned -- show staff where the
item is to be sent instead of requiring a wrapper or label to be printed --
but otherwise she seemed satisfied with the workflow. She's going to login
and play with it, but this is major progress. We're anxious to show it to
Annette when she's back from her trip.
Let me know if you have additional questions.
