[VIPcommittee] VIP Workshop, new date

Well, if this date works for everyone else, then we would simply not be able to send all staff.  I know we've always done this at SPC, but since there are so few times when we not in session we may have to accommodate the larger group.  Just let me know what you find out, Beth.  FYI, early August is usually a good time for us in terms of library traffic.

I don't think that will work for the SPC college library people to attend.  Our summer session starts on the 18th of May so the library staff would not be able to all attend and leave the libraries empty of staff.  We usually have our librarians handle the library on that one day but it is when no classes are in session.

The 2009 VIP workshop was tentatively scheduled for Friday, May 8th.  This date conflicts with the 2009 Florida Library Association's annual meeting.  Marcia has confirmed that the St. Petersburg College facility is available on Friday, May 22nd.   I feel that this date is safely away from the conflict with the FLA meeting date and still keeps the VIP workshop in May.

Does anyone have any objections to moving the 2009 VIP Workshop to Friday, May 22nd?  If so, email me asap.

So, far we have only received 2 responses to our VIP in 2009 survey, and both indicate that they will send staff.  So far, so good for 2009!  I will keep you posted as results come in.
