I like the idea of fall too. Is that a possibility?

I like the fall idea! But only if it's not too close to the start of
classes.

I've been talking with Charlie (Parker) about the possibility of a
centralized statewide professional development calendar that would help
with scheduling conflicts. I'm thinking here of fall and the annual
FACRL meeting and know we wouldn't want to compete with that. This year
the TBLC Annual Meeting is being on the same day as FACRL - not nice for
us academic librarians who have just this one day meeting each year.
Anyway, I wondered if that might be function FLA would want to attempt.
A little off-topic here, but it is something that could really be
helpful even it weren't absolutely comprehensive.

I honestly think that keeping it in May is a good idea, if we can. So
the 22nd is fine by me. The other option is to change it so radically
(fall-ish) that it's "new."

An added benefit to changing it that way is that we can truly look at
revamping the schedule (maybe do it biannually instead of annually) to
better suit the economic realities of the time.

	Group-

The large room we need for the group activities at the VIP
workshop is not fully available on the 15th. The only option that is
still available (other than the 8th) is the 22nd. I think we will have
to move it here. Does everyone agree?

My apologies to the staff at SPC who will have to make some
changes to their usual practices regarding this event.
