[VIPcommittee] 2010 VIP Workshop date issue

We we first started this conference, it was held during the week that the college was on break between the Fall and Summer sessions.   The purpose was that the college libraries would likely not have as much student traffic so the librarian staff would be able to cover the circulation areas while the regular, office/desk staff could be away.

That would make Friday, May 14th my first choice for that reason.

With our SPG Campus having the joint-use, I don't know if the break during sessions will make any difference.

The libraries would know better about April 30th......that is around finals time since the session ends on May 7th with graduation that weekend.  It is usually very busy then as far as I know.

May 7th is the last day of the session so might work as well as the 14th since classes are ending.

That's my 2 cents.

The snapshot at this moment in time has the rooms we need available for the dates noted below.  I will need to lock our preference as soon as possible.


VIP Library Workshop  -- Board Rooms (1-451, 453 and 455) and 2-304 .  [NOTE:  These room I do not have control over and I must confirm reservations through another department.  All the other rooms we need I do have control over so, we don't need to lock those down just yet].

Hello Everyone,

We need to discuss the date issue for the 2010 VIP Workshop.

Our original choice of date was May 21, 2010.  The EpiCenter location is not available on this day.  The following Friday, May 28th date is the Friday before the Memorial Day holiday.

Are we comfortable with having the VIP on the 28th?  Do we want to move back into May or go into June?

Marcia-can you give us some additional Friday options in May and June that the facility could be available?
