Roadmap to African American and Diversity Resources (ARAADR)

Many important questions are addressed in the course, such as: 

*	What can participants take back and use right away? 
*	How can participants plan for special diversity programs? 
*	What services can be accessed to increase information literacy
on various subject areas such as women, health care, Florida, Native
American history, civil rights, Dr. M. L. King, Jr.,etc.? 

The participants will meet online links that will change their
experience in locating diversity resources. These ARAADR interactive
presentations allow an opportunity for discussions, questions and
answers. Join the session and meet the challenges of providing
extraordinary info-seeker service to a diverse growing population. 

Overview and Summary of Objectives: 

*	How to find and use an e-book using the Library of Congress
Project Gutenberg. 
*	How to find scientific and other subject area biographies. 
*	How to find and use state resources. 
*	How to find and use Central American resources. 
*	How to find and use the Library of Congress, American Memory. 
*	How to find financial aid and scholarships. 
*	How to translate web sites into a different language. 

Bio: Sherry Sherrod DuPree, Professor, Santa Fe Community College, is a
researcher, librarian, author, consultant and historian whose primary
focus is African-American resources. Ms. DuPree earned an MLS and Ed.S.
from the University of Michigan.
