All a Twitter and Tweeting: Introduction to Twitter for Librarians (Live
Online)


What can you say about your library in 140 characters or less? What can
you ask your colleagues in the same? Twitter is all over the news these
days as a tool for kids these days - but it can also be of use in your
day-to-day library life. In this one hour lesson, Nicole Engard will
review how to use Twitter to find information, keep up with colleagues,
share information from conferences and events, and publicize your
library.

BIO: Nicole C. Engard is the Open Source Evangelist at LibLime. In her
position, she directs the company's open source education endeavors. In
addition to her daily responsibilities, Nicole has been published in
several library journals and keeps the library community up to date on
web technologies via her website "What I Learned Today..." (
www.web2learning.net). In 2007, Nicole was named one of Library
Journal's Movers & Shakers and in 2009 she was the editor of "Library
Mashups," a book published by Information Today, Inc.
