Battle of the Bands Presentation

Roc∙kus Max∙i∙mus raw-kuh s mak-s(ə-)muh s n (2008) 1 : term strongly associated with Pasco County’s Original Battle of the Bands 2 : awesome concert event and online competition featuring eight Florida teen bands, known for drawing crowds of 600 or more spectators, generating community goodwill and enthusiastic business partnerships, supporting the local music scene, and providing a safe, fun environment for teenagers to learn that libraries are about so much more than books

So, if you haven’t figured it out yet, the Pasco County Library System is gearing up for its 13th annual Rockus Maximus: Battle of the Bands. This year we are doing something new and different. We’re opening up the competition to bands from any of our fellow Florida Library Information Network libraries. If you or your YA staff know of any teen bands brave enough to take the Rockus Maximus challenge, then we definitely want to hear from you. If you are interested, contact Paul Stonebridge, Teen Services Manager, at 813-391-0668 or pauls at pascolibraries.org.

Also, we will be hosting an online webinar via TBLC’s virtual classroom to address all of your Rockus Maximus questions and concerns on November 19th -10:00-11:00. If you want to find out more about how you can be involved in Rockus Maximus, then this short presentation can’t be missed.
