Children will learn to appreciate the environment when they know more about it. Art projects that teach recycling help children and teens to celebrate the natural life around them. Learn how to recycle fast food containers, newspapers, old books, plastic bottles and other throw aways into fun and interesting recycled art objects. Gardening, ocean, and other themes that teach appreciation for the natural environment will also be included. This is your opportunity to develop a portfolio of ideas that you can use with your Preschool through Teen visitors. This 4 week online workshop is taught by an art professor who has first hand experience developing library art programs. Interact with other Youth Librarians and a real art professor. Instructor Valerie Colston, M.A. is an art professor with many years of experience developing and teaching art programs as an Art Performer at several San Diego local libraries.
